News Topical, Digital Desk : Divya Gautam, Astropatri. Shravan month is considered to be dedicated to Lord Shiva. This month is starting from 11th July. At the same time, Sawan will end on 09th August. During this time, special worship and devotion of Lord Shiva will be done.

If you also  want to be a part of the blessings of Mahadev, the God of Gods  , then during the worship on Sawan Monday, anoint Lord Shiva with these things. Also, during the worship, definitely offer these things on the Shivling. Offering these things pleases Lord Shiva.

Offer these things on Shivling

There are some special things in the worship of Lord Shiva, which are not only very dear to him but also provide spiritual peace and virtue to the devotee. Let us know the auspicious offerings that Shiva devotees should offer in Sawan-

Panchamrit

Panchamrit is made by mixing five pure things (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar and Ganga water). Anointing Shivling with this is considered to purify the body, mind and soul.

Ganga water

The water of Mother Ganga is considered the most sacred offering. Offering it to Shivalinga destroys sins, purifies the mind and bestows the blessings of God.

Honey and white flowers

Honey is a symbol of sweetness and mellowness, which   is used in the Abhishekam of Lord Shiva . White flowers represent his calm, sattvik and gentle nature, so offering them is considered especially auspicious.

Belpatra

Shiva is very fond of the Tripatra Belpatra. Offering clean, fresh and uncut Belpatra in the month of Saavan is considered especially virtuous. It is a symbol of surrender and devotion.

Datura and cannabis

Both these plants are associated with the ascetic and renunciatory nature of Lord Shiva. Offering them brings the fruits of hard penance and concentration.

The essence of worship

The month of Sawan is not just a time for fasting and offerings, it is a time for inner purity and true devotion. When we worship Lord Shiva with devotion and as per the rules prescribed in the scriptures, his grace fills our lives with new direction and divinity.
