Sankashti Chaturthi fasting story (Sankashti Chaturthi 2025 Katha
According to Hindu mythology, once Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva were sitting together on the banks of a river. Then the idea of playing Chaupar came to their mind, but there was no third person other than them who could decide the win and loss during the game of Chaupar. In this situation, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati created a child of clay and put life into it, so that the correct decision of victory and defeat in the game could be made. After this, Mother Parvati won three to four times in a row, but that child of clay declared Lord Shiva the winner.
This angered Goddess Parvati and she made the boy lame. Then the boy realized his mistake and apologized, but Mother Parvati said that the curse cannot be taken back now. Therefore, you can get rid of this curse through a remedy.
He said that on the day of Chaturthi, some girls come for worship, ask them the method of fasting and worship. The boy did exactly the same and with his worship, Shiva's son Ganesha became happy and ended all the sorrows of his life. With this, the boy started living his life happily again.
