News Topical, Digital Desk : The fast of Sankashti Chaturthi is being observed on 16th May in the month of Jyeshtha. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotee who observes the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi with devotion and worships Lord Ganesha are fulfilled. On this day, the fast is broken after offering Arghya to the moon. In such a situation, the moonrise is at 10:39 pm.
How to worship?
- Get up early in the morning, take a bath, etc. and take a vow to fast.
- Offer Durva, Modak and red flowers to Lord Ganesha during the puja.
- Chant the mantra “Om Gan Ganapataye Namah” .
- During the puja, chant the aarti and mantras of Lord Ganesha.
- Break the fast in the evening by offering water to the moon.
