A statement by Sanjay Nishad, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, has further fueled the controversy. Commenting on the video, Sanjay Nishad said, "This is enough for touching the veil (hijab), but what would have happened if he had touched something else?" The minister has come under fire for making this statement. 

Aparna Yadav, Vice President of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, has strongly objected to Nishad's statement. She has demanded an apology from both leaders. Aparna has said that one should be careful with their words.

What did Aparna Yadav say? 

Speaking to reporters during an inspection of the Barabanki District Women's Hospital, he stated that no one has the right to make indecent remarks about a woman's dignity, religion, or caste. He categorically stated that both Nitish Kumar's actions and Sanjay Nishad's statements are condemnable.

We should maintain decorum of behavior – Aparna Yadav

Aparna Yadav said that people in public life should be especially mindful of the decorum of their words and behavior. She demanded that both Nitish Kumar and Sanjay Nishad immediately publicly apologize in this matter.

The Vice President of the Women's Commission stated that any compromise with women's dignity and rights will not be tolerated, and that a firm stance should be taken in such cases. Her statement has once again sparked discussion about this issue in political circles.
