RJD's membership number crosses 1 crore, more members than the target, update on organisational elections too:

News Topical, Digital Desk : Bihar Politics: RJD released the figures of the membership campaign on Friday (May 16, 2025). The party's national election officer Dr. Ramchandra Purve published the final list of members. On this occasion, National Assistant Election Officer Chittaranjan Gagan, State Election Officer Dr. Tanveer Hasan, Assistant State Election Officer E Ashok Yadav, Dev Kishun Thakur and Sarika Paswan were present.

According to the list, about 7 lakh more members have been made than the target of 1 crore. With this, the process of organization election has been started. An important meeting of District Election Officers and Assistant District Election Officers has been called on Saturday (May 17, 2025). The authentic list of members will be submitted in the meeting. National Assistant Election Officer Chittaranjan Gagan said that election officers have been nominated in all 534 blocks, 3320 wards and 8463 panchayats of Bihar.

The date for the organisational election in RJD has arrived

Panchayat level elections will be held till May 29 and block level elections will be held till June 2. Elections for district units and state council members will be held from June 5 to June 11. List of state council members will be released on June 13 in all states. State president, state executive and national council members will be elected on June 21. Final list of national council members will be published on June 24. Elections for block units and district council members from blocks will be held from May 31 to June 2.

7 lakh more members added than the target

The election of the national president will be held on July 5, the party's foundation day. It is worth noting that among the new members of RJD, more than seven lakh are going to become voters for the first time. National Assistant Election Officer Chittaranjan Gagan said that the membership campaign was started on 19 September 2024 by Lalu Prasad in Delhi and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in Patna. The party had set a target of making 1 crore members. All sections have been included in the list of RJD members for 2025 - 2028.
