Importance of Rishi Panchami (Rishi Panchami significance)

Rishi Panchami fast is mainly observed by women. It is believed that this fast relieves women from the menstrual disorder that occurs during menstruation. Bathing in the river Ganga on this day is also considered to be of special importance.

This not only destroys the sins of the sadhak, but also gives him the blessings of the Saptarishis. If it is not possible for you to take a bath in the Ganga river, then you can take a bath at home on this day by mixing Gangajal in the water. This also gives you auspicious results. 

Rishi Panchami puja vidhi

On the day of Rishi Panchami, wake up early in the morning and take a bath. After this, clean the house and the temple. Spread a stool at the place of worship and put a clean red or yellow cloth on it. After this, install the picture of Saptarishi and fill the Kalash with Gangajal. If you want, you can also install the picture of your Guru. 

Offer water to the Saptarishis and light incense sticks. Along with this, offer fruits, flowers, ghee, panchamrit etc. in the puja. Chant the mantras of the Saptarishis and finally apologize for your mistakes. After this, distribute prasad among all the people and take blessings of the elders.
