News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a stern warning on his Truth Social, saying that the US elections are "rigged" and the country must reform its voting system or face an existential crisis.

He outlined some legal demands in the post and urged Republicans to support them.

In the post, Trump sought Republican support for proposals called the "Save America Act," which seek to reform election administration. Key reforms he calls for include mandatory voter ID for in-person voting, requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register as a voter, and limiting mail-in voting to those with illness, disability, military service, or travel.

Otherwise, our country will not survive.

Trump has presented this as a matter of national survival. He wrote that American elections have become a laughingstock around the world. "Either we fix them, or our country will perish."
