Now with his new act, the actor has once again proved why he is counted among the most kind actors of Bollywood. At a time when Punjab is battling the worst floods in its history, the actor has donated a huge amount to help in relief and rehabilitation work.
How much did Akshay Kumar donate?
The actor has contributed Rs 5 crore for the flood-affected people in Punjab. He humbly called this contribution 'not charity', but 'seva'.

Talking about donating this amount, Akshay said, "I stand by my idea. Yes, I am donating Rs 5 crore to buy relief material for Punjab flood victims, but who am I to 'donate' to anyone? When I get a chance to extend a helping hand, I feel blessed. For me, this is my seva, my small contribution."
The actor further said, "I pray that the natural calamity that has befallen my brothers and sisters in Punjab gets over soon. May God bless us."
Have already extended the hand of service
Let us tell you that this is not the first time Akshay Kumar has come forward to help the needy. He has made significant contributions to disaster relief, including the Chennai floods, the COVID-19 pandemic and helping the families of soldiers through the 'Bharat Ke Veer' initiative. He donated Rs 25 crore to the PM-CARES Fund, which was one of the largest donations made by any Bollywood actor at the time.
He also helped the Mumbai BMC by providing PPE kits and sanitizers. Akshay also started the 'Bharat Ke Veer' program in collaboration with the Government of India in 2017 to help the families of martyred soldiers. He himself contributed generously and encouraged citizens to join in as well.
