The young man's uncle, Kulwant Singh, said that a few months ago, Simranjit had started living with new friends, who moved him to a new location in December. The family suspects that these friends may have betrayed him and murdered him for money. He said that Simranjit worked hard to support himself. He recently applied for PR with his own money.
The family believes that some people disliked his progress and conspired to eliminate him. This tragic news from Canada has shaken the entire family. The parents are inconsolable. The village is also mourning, as Simranjit was loved by all and considered a beacon of hope.
