News Topical, Digital Desk : A textile merchant was murdered with sharp-edged weapons in Jalandhar, Punjab. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Bablu. Bablu was a resident of Shankar village in Shahkot and had been living in Rampur village in Nurmahal for 20 years. He owned a clothing store called Bablu Garments in Nakodar.

He was unmarried and had been running a shop for 15 years. Bablu's body was found near a bridge under construction on the dirt road leading to Rampur. Police said that deep cuts were found on several parts of his body, indicating that Bablu had been murdered with a sharp weapon.

The accused will be arrested soon.

ASI Gurnam Singh said that the body has been kept at Civil Hospital Shahkot for post-mortem. A case has been registered against unknown persons and an investigation has been initiated. Police found several clues at the scene and are now very close to the killer. The accused will be arrested soon.

Bablu did not reach home till late night 

ASI Gurnam Singh said that on the evening of February 28th, Bablu was returning to Rampur after closing his shop as usual. He had called home to say he would be arriving soon, but he did not arrive until late at night. When his father, Dalip Singh, went looking for him, he found his body near a bridge under construction on the dirt road leading to Rampur. He had been murdered by unknown persons with sharp weapons.
