When the bridge collapsed, many people were present on the bridge. It is feared that about 25 to 30 people have been swept away in the river. At the same time, the death of three people has been confirmed so far.

Actually, some tourists have drowned due to the collapse of the bridge at Kund Mall in Maval, Pune. It is being told that this incident happened around 3.30 pm. There were stones present on the part of the bridge that collapsed. Those who fell on the stones have suffered serious injuries. At the same time, many people have been swept away in the river current.

According to preliminary information, about 20 to 25 people have drowned. About 200 tourists were present at the spot. After the accident, everyone has been removed from the spot so that there is no problem in the rescue operation.

People had reached the bridge with bikes.
Many children had also reached this bridge to celebrate holidays with their families. There is also a temple here, where a large number of people come to visit. Currently, two teams of NDRF have reached the spot and are engaged in rescue operations. It is being told that some people had also reached this already dilapidated bridge with bikes. The bridge could not bear much weight and broke.

There were complaints about the bridge earlier too
It is being told that earlier too complaints about the bad condition of the bridge had reached the administration, but no action was taken on it. There was a lot of rust on the bridge. Announcements were being made continuously to take precautions. It has been raining continuously in Pune for the past few days, due to which the flow in the Indrayani river was fast.

22 ambulances reached the spot
. Rescue operation has been started rapidly. 20-22 ambulances have reached the spot to rescue the tourists. Due to it being evening time, the rescue work is being expedited because after darkness the rescue operation may be hampered. Many teams have been dispatched from the district headquarters for rescue work. Work is also going on to rescue people in the villages ahead in the direction of the river flow. Rescue vans and fire tender boats have reached the spot for rescue.
