News Topical, Digital Desk : To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a Run for Unity will be organized across the state on October 31st. The government and the Bharatiya Janata Party will jointly organize a grand and spectacular event. 

Five young people, including athletes and artists, from each district of the state will participate. All these young people will embark on a 150-kilometer journey from the birthplace of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to Kevadia, Gujarat. They will be transported by bus via four major hubs to Sardar Saheb's sacred birthplace. 

From here, everyone will then participate in a 150-kilometer padyatra. This national padyatra will cover the journey from Sardar Saheb's birthplace, Karamsad, to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. This national padyatra will involve thousands of youth participating in the campaign. All youth will promote the various programs of the Jan Jagran Abhiyan (People's Awareness Campaign). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared this information with journalists at a press conference on Sunday. 

Various programs will be organized at the local level.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that a three-day, 8- to 10-kilometer march will be organized in each Lok Sabha constituency, passing through all assembly constituencies. Prior to the march, several programs will be organized at the local level to raise public awareness. These programs will include essay writing, debate competitions, symposia on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and street plays. 

In addition, a Drug-Free India Pledge-Taking Program for youth, and Vocal for Local and Local for Global campaigns will be organized in various areas. Yoga and health camps will also be held. A special cleanliness drive will also be launched throughout the state. Additionally, during the Pad Yatra, local committees, various social organizations, and cultural organizations will organize wreath-laying and tribute programs at the statue of Sardar Saheb.

The events will be held from October 31 to November 26.

CM Yogi stated that, advancing the resolve to build a self-reliant India from a united India, cultural programs related to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and nationalism will also be held. Certificates will be distributed to all participants. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and all party workers, including Mai Bharat, NCC, NSS, etc., will take the campaign to new heights of success. He stated that large-scale programs will be organized from October 31st (Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary) to November 26th (Constitution Day). 

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man, was not only a great freedom fighter but also the architect of a united India. All of India remembers Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the architect of the united India we see today, and expresses its eternal gratitude to him. He implemented the vision and wisdom of integrating hundreds of princely states into the Republic of India and then creating India's current form.

'The Nawab of Junagadh and the Nizam of Hyderabad did not have their way'

He said that today we all see that India. Everyone knows that at that time, there were some princely states where they wanted to act arbitrarily (the Nawab of Junagadh and the Nizam of Hyderabad), but they were unable to do anything against the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Ultimately, in the face of the Iron Man's determination, they were forced to leave India. Both these princely states also became part of India.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi , the entire country has been celebrating the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as National Unity Day since 2014. The Bharatiya Janata Party has been organizing the "Run for Unity" since 2014. On October 31st, the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the "Run for Unity" will be organized across the country and the state.
