
News Topical, Digital Desk : Police raided a rave party organised at a farmhouse near Devanahalli in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru in the wee hours of Sunday. The party was organised to celebrate the 26th birthday of Maja Sharif, an employee of a private firm. A total of 31 people attended the party and police have registered a case against them.
Cocaine, hydro-ganja, hashish recovered
In the police operation, 3 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of hydro-ganja, 60 grams of hashish and some quantity of marijuana were recovered from four of the 31 people. All those present were between 24 and 30 years of age, who were friends of Sharif and are residents of various areas, such as Sarjapur Road, Varthur, Ramamurthy Nagar, etc. The party started on Saturday night and the police conducted the raid after receiving information around 4.30 am on Sunday.
The police team reached the farmhouse in the morning
The police team led by North East Division DCP VJ Sajith reached the farmhouse in Kannamangala village at 5 am. All 31 people present there have been arrested. The police have also collected blood and urine samples of the accused, which have been sent to Bowring Hospital and Forensic Science Laboratory. Police say that both drug consumers and sellers were present at the party. Efforts are being made to find out where these drugs came from and what is their supply chain.
ID professionals were present in the party
Police officer VJ Sajith said, "There were both drug peddlers and consumers in this party. A total of 31 people working in different IT companies were involved in it. We have arrested all of them. Cocaine, hashish and hydro marijuana were found with some of them, which has been seized."
