News Topical, Digital Desk : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several important projects during his visit to Bihar tomorrow on Monday. These include projects worth Rs 36000 crore which are expected to give new impetus to the development of the state. Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the Prime Minister is giving top priority to Bihar.

What did Samrat Choudhary say about the projects? 

Samrat Choudhary said that "In his 11-year tenure, Modi has gifted Bihar development projects worth about Rs 1.50 lakh crore and tomorrow another gift will be given. He said that the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the interim terminal building in the new civil enclave of Purnia airport which will increase the passenger handling capacity."

According to the official statement, apart from this, he will inaugurate the 'Sex Sorted Semen' center, which will be the first state-of-the-art facility in eastern and northeastern India under the National Gokul Mission. This technology will help dairy farmers to get more female calves and increase their income. It said that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a private sector investment energy project in the state which is worth about Rs 25 thousand crore.

Samrat Choudhary said that PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the first phase of Kosi-Mechi project costing Rs 2,680 crore. Under this project, canals will be upgraded, silt will be removed, damaged structures will be reconstructed and water discharge capacity will be increased from 15,000 cusecs to 20,000 cusecs and this will help the districts of Northeast Bihar in irrigation, flood control and agricultural resilience.

Foundation stone laid for railway line costing Rs 2,170 crore

The statement said that to give a new direction to rail connectivity, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a railway line costing Rs 2,170 crore from Vikramshila to Kateria, which will provide direct rail connectivity on the river Ganga. Apart from this, a new railway line costing Rs 4,410 crore from Araria to Galgalia (Thakurganj) will also be inaugurated.

According to officials, strict security arrangements have been made in the district and vehicular movement on national and state highways will also be suspended for 24 hours from Sunday midnight. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tejashwi Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Purnia and also shot a video of it.
