He condemned the violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar. Prime Minister Modi called for resolving all issues through dialogue and diplomacy and avoiding escalation of tensions.

Reiterated commitment to mutual strategic partnership

Prime Minister Modi, in his conversation with the Sheikh of Qatar, highlighted India's firm stand against terrorism and condemned the terrorist incidents. During the conversation, both the leaders reiterated their commitment to further advance the India-Qatar strategic partnership in all areas of mutual interest.

Qatar's role in regional peace and stability appreciated

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the role played by Qatar in promoting regional peace and stability, including through efforts to mediate a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages. The Prime Minister emphasised the need to resolve all issues through dialogue and diplomacy and avoid escalation of tensions. He emphasised that India stands firmly in support of peace and stability in the region and against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Sheikh Tamim thanked PM Modi

Sheikh Tamim thanked Prime Minister Modi for expressing solidarity with the people and State of Qatar. The two leaders also expressed satisfaction at the continued progress in the India-Qatar strategic partnership and reiterated their commitment to further bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. They agreed to remain in close contact.
