Tilak of Tulsi soil
Applying Tulsi soil to your forehead is a simple way to receive Lord Vishnu's blessings. During puja, take some dried Tulsi soil and apply it as a tilak to your forehead. Doing so will ward off bad luck and bring success in your job.
Donation of Tulsi and rice
Charity holds great significance on Ekadashi. Donate some dried basil leaves and rice to a Brahmin or a needy person on Ekadashi. Doing so will keep your coffers full of wealth.
Recitation of 'Vishnu Sahasranama'
Lord Vishnu is quickly pleased by sitting near a Tulsi plant and reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama. Therefore, on Ekadashi, sit in front of a Tulsi plant and recite the Vishnu Sahasranama. Be sure to light a lamp during this time.
Abhisheka of Tulsi and Shaligram
Shaligram is considered a form of Lord Vishnu. Anointing him with Tulsi on Ekadashi is believed to help recover stuck wealth. If you have a Shaligram in your home, bathe him with Panchamrit on Ekadashi and offer Tulsi leaves to him. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked on Ekadashi. Therefore, pluck Tulsi leaves a day in advance for use in worship.
