As you may know, Brahma Ji is one of the three gods. But his worship is not as prevalent as that of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Let us know the reason for this.
what is mythology
According to the legend, Brahma Ji was entrusted with the task of creating the entire world. When he was creating the world, he also created a very beautiful woman, whom he named Shatarupa. She was so beautiful that even Brahma Ji himself was fascinated by her and could not take his eyes off her.
Brahma kept staring at Shatarupa in this manner, which disturbed her. Shatarupa tried everything possible to escape Brahma's sight, but she could not succeed.
Shiv ji got angry
Shiv Ji was also watching this whole scene and he got very angry with Brahma Ji . Because Satrupa was like Brahma's daughter. Therefore, he felt that Brahma Ji's staring at Satrupa like this was a grave crime. Lord Shiv manifested one of his Ganas, Lord Bhairav and on Shiv Ji's orders, Bhairav cut off Brahma Ji's fifth head.
After this, Brahma Ji realized his mistake and started apologizing to Mahadev. It is believed that for this reason Brahma is not worshipped like Lord Shiva and Lord Shri Hari present in the Tridevas. As a result of this, there is only one temple of Brahma Ji in the whole of India, which is in Pushkar, Rajasthan.
