
News Topical, Digital Desk : The body of constable driver Ashok Kumar Singh, who lived in the police line in the Buddha Colony police station area of Patna, was found hanging from the fan on Wednesday evening (30 July 2025). It is believed that he has committed suicide. However, the police have started investigating. Constable driver Ashok Kumar was living with his family in the house located inside the police line since 2004. Two days ago his wife had gone home and now such an incident has happened.
Along with family feud, financial crisis is also being the reason behind the suicide. Sub-divisional Police Officer-1 (Law and Order) Krishna Murari Prasad said that we reached the spot after getting information in the evening. Suicide is being attributed to family feud.
Krishna Murari Prasad said, "His wife had gone home two days ago, as Ashok Kumar Singh's elder son Ajit Kumar says. His sons had gone out since 11 in the morning. It is possible that he committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan."
Two months ago, the younger son had done a love marriage
After the incident, the FSL team was called for investigation at night. Krishna Murari Prasad said that further investigation is being done in this. He told that the constable driver has two sons. The elder son Ajit Kumar Singh got married in February 2024. The second son Ranjit had a love marriage two months ago, which he did not want. He (Ashok) was always tensed with the younger son regarding this matter.
The police officer also said that Ashok Kumar Singh had a daughter who died a year ago due to some disease. He said that it is also coming to light that he was the only person working in his family. Somewhere, financial crisis can also be the reason for this suicide.
