News Topical, Digital Desk : Patna News: Criminals are in trouble in the capital Patna. The police is constantly conducting raids to curb organized crime. In this episode, wanted criminal Aashiq alias 'Chhote Sarkar' has been arrested. Aashiq is among the top 20 criminals of Patna City subdivision. The police of Agamkuan police station arrested Aashiq along with three accomplices from Mehndiganj police station area on Monday (May 05, 2025). The STF and Mehndiganj police also helped in this.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Atulesh Jha said that raids were also conducted at the hideouts of the arrested criminals. During the raid, 01 pistol, 01 country-made pistol, 04 live cartridges were recovered. Let us tell you that an order has been issued by the Police Headquarters to crack down on organized criminals. On the order, Bihar Police is in action mode. The accused of extortion, robbery, dacoity are being tightened. STF had informed on Monday that Chhote Sarkar alias Aashiq has reached Mehndiganj police station area with his associates. 

'Chhote Sarkar' in the clutches of police

Atulesh Jha said that 23-year-old Aashiq is a wanted criminal. Police was looking for Aashiq in many cases. Police of Agamkuan police station took action after verifying the information. After the arrest, police interrogated the criminals. During interrogation, illegal weapons were found at the hideouts. Police seized illegal weapons from the hideouts on the information given by the criminals.

 

Action on STF information

It is worth noting that Bihar Police is on alert mode after the Pahalgam terror attack. Guidelines have been issued to all districts by the Police Headquarters. Police have been ordered to increase special surveillance and patrolling at malls, railway stations, big shops, hotels, restaurants, bus stands, auto stands, hospitals, schools, airports, religious places and crowded places.
