
News Topical, Digital Desk : Delhi Murder Case: Manjeet alias Manja, a criminal sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case and currently out on bail from the High Court, has been arrested by Patel Nagar Police in a rape case.
The accused was continuously evading the police and running away, but with the help of technical surveillance and intelligence, the police team arrested him on July 3. The accused is a cunning and habitual criminal.
The woman had lodged a rape complaint against the accused
DCP Nidhin Valsan said that on June 11, 2025, a woman had lodged a rape complaint against Manjeet at Patel Nagar police station. As soon as the case was registered, the police started investigation, but the accused absconded and did not join the investigation despite repeated summons.
After which a special team of Patel Nagar Police traced the location of the accused with the help of technical surveillance and field intelligence. Finally, he was arrested on 3 July.
Manjeet has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder
Manjeet (39), a resident of Bahadurgarh in Haryana, arrested in this case, is not an ordinary criminal but a criminal with a notorious criminal history. He was convicted in a murder case in Haryana in 2009, in which he, along with his partner Arun Dabas alias Bittu, killed another criminal. In 2012, the court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The criminal did not improve even after bail
In 2015, he got bail from Chandigarh High Court, but after coming out on bail, Manjeet did not stay away from crime. He remained continuously active in serious crimes like murder, attempt to murder and Arms Act in Haryana. There are many cases registered against him in the police records. Police is now conducting a thorough investigation in other cases against him and evidence is being collected.
