News Topical, Digital Desk : Evidence of Pakistan harboring terrorism on its soil has once again surfaced. Intelligence dossiers have identified connections between the Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP). The partnership between the two organizations is funded by the Pakistani intelligence agency, the ISI.
The question now is what is the purpose of this partnership? According to intelligence dossiers, terrorist organizations have the support of the Pakistani military and are currently focused on Balochistan.
ISKP eyes Kashmir
According to an NDTV report, the ISKP has long been considered an un-Islamic organization by the Afghan Taliban. However, the Pakistani deep state is now using the organization to suppress dissent in Balochistan.
Furthermore, Pakistan is also enlisting the help of ISKP to foment unrest in Kashmir. This was recently revealed in ISKP's magazine, Yalgar. According to the magazine, ISKP is planning to increase its activities in Kashmir.
This plan by Pakistan could destabilize all of South Asia. If the neighboring country succeeds in its plans, the world will witness a new and dangerous era of terrorism. Under the guise of this organization, Pakistan will attempt to carry out major terrorist attacks.
The photo caused a stir
A photo of the ISKP and LeT alliance has also surfaced, showing ISKP's Mir Shafiq Mengal handing a pistol to LeT's Mohammad Ashfaq. According to intelligence, this alliance is being formed under the supervision of the ISI.
Mengal is the son of the former Chief Minister of Balochistan, who was a longtime member of the ISI. He joined the ISKP in 2015. His name has also surfaced in Pakistan's joint investigation team. With the help of the ISI, Mengal established his base in Mustang and Khuzdar.
Baloch rebels attacked
Following the Taliban's rise to power in Afghanistan, Baloch insurgents attacked Mustang in March of that year, killing several ISKP militants. During an event in Balochistan in June 2025, Mohammad Ashfaq pledged jihad against "anti-Pakistani" forces.
What could be the danger?
The alliance between ISKP and LeT has raised alarm bells, with many experts saying it could lead to Pakistan's potential to fuel terrorism in Kashmir, and could also lead to instability in Balochistan and Afghanistan.
