News Topical, Digital Desk : Police have examined footage from over 100 CCTV cameras installed in the streets and neighborhoods to apprehend the criminals who robbed the operator of a public service center in Greater Noida's Bisrakh police station area. Some of the footage captured the suspected robbers, along with their bikes.
Four teams are continuously raiding possible hideouts to arrest the criminals. More than 72 hours have passed since the robbery, but the police have yet to reach the criminals.
The crooks were caught on CCTV cameras
The incident occurred late Wednesday evening in Chak Shahberi village. Village resident Harendra Singh runs a public service center a short distance from his home. While walking home from the center, two criminals on a motorcycle approached him from behind, threatened to shoot him, and then fled, robbing a bag containing approximately 3.50 lakh rupees. CCTV footage at the scene captured the criminals' images.
Responding to the victim's information, the police registered a case against unknown assailants on Thursday after a preliminary investigation. Four police teams are working to uncover the incident.
Continuous raids in search of criminals
Police sources say that teams have examined over 100 CCTV footage from shops and houses in the streets and roads surrounding the crime scene to identify and arrest the criminals. Some of these footage match the criminals captured on CCTV cameras near the crime scene.
At the time of the incident, one of the criminals was wearing a helmet, while the other was wearing a cloth to cover his face. Therefore, the precise identification of the criminals is underway. Some teams have also raided possible hideouts in nearby districts in search of the criminals.
