News Topical, Digital Desk : Amid a clash between the ruling party and the opposition over women's reservations during the special session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his address to the Assembly, singled out the Samajwadi Party and the Congress. The Samajwadi Party created a ruckus both inside and outside the House during the Chief Minister's address.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the country is grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi has done so much for women that women everywhere praise him. The Samajwadi Party and Congress have always opposed women's reservations. The SP has an anti-women attitude. They oppose every women's scheme. They even opposed women's bank accounts. The SP simply doesn't want women to progress.

The Chief Minister said that on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative, bank accounts were opened for even the poorest of the poor. During this period, bank accounts were opened for 300 million women. Now, benefits are sent to women's accounts. The Samajwadi Party has changed its colors due to the anger of half the population. Even a chameleon would be intimidated by the SP. SP leaders change colors frequently. Women were subjected to atrocities during the SP government.

He said that the Samajwadi Party (SP) members seem eager to have the issue of women's reservation discussed in the House. Now the opposition's true face has been exposed. This session is dedicated to half the population, and the opposition is hindering women's empowerment.

In this session, called on the issue of women's empowerment, the ruling party is presenting a motion of condemnation over the failure of the Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. Earlier on Wednesday, the Samajwadi Party legislative party met at the party headquarters and passed a resolution strongly condemning the BJP and its allies, accusing them of lying about women's reservation.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has also prepared to respond to the ruling party's allegations during the special session. Presenting the resolution at a meeting attended by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, it was stated that through this "highly condemnatory resolution," we strongly condemn the central BJP government and its allies, who pretend to support women's reservations and whose intention was to win elections by delimiting constituencies as desired under the pretext of this bill, rather than truly empowering women.

The resolution stated that the BJP is spreading the lie that the opposition prevented the passage of this bill, whereas all parties had passed it together, and the bill that failed was actually the Delimitation Bill. The BJP has not made any clear provisions regarding the political representation of backward and minority women in the women's reservation. The BJP wants to make "women a slogan" only to create a false sense of sympathy.

Leader of the Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey declared the censure motion passed in the Legislative Assembly. The SP chief said that the Women's Reservation Bill was passed in 2023 and became law. If the government wishes, it can implement it in the next elections, but the BJP government does not want to implement women's reservation. It is spreading false propaganda against the opposition.
