News Topical, Digital Desk : NTPC Green Energy informed the stock exchanges on Saturday that its subsidiary, Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, has achieved significant success. The company has won the contract for a 140 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project in an e-reverse auction conducted by REMC Limited. The company informed the exchange that the bid was won at a rate of ₹4.35 per unit.

Ayana is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited and ONGC Green Limited. The objective of this tender process by REMC Limited was to select project developers for the supply of a total of 1000 MW of RTC power from grid-connected renewable energy projects (with or without storage). The selection of Ayana's 140 MW project will further strengthen the company's green energy capabilities and provide reliable renewable power supply to large consumers, including the Railways. Stock Performance The company's stock closed at ₹97.04 on Friday, down 0.47%. Over the past year, the company's stock has declined 20.23%.
