The administration has taken this decision keeping in view the security. From Sunday onwards, devotees will not be able to offer garlands and coconuts to Ganpati Bappa. Let us tell you that Siddhivinayak temple is very famous not only in the country but all over the world.

In June 2007, Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple implemented a ban on offering coconuts and large garlands due to security concerns. This decision was based on intelligence reports suggesting that such items could be used to conceal explosives, posing a potential threat to the temple, which was already on terrorist watch lists .

The temple trust, in consultation with local authorities, decided to restrict these offerings as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of devotees and the temple premises.
