News Topical, Digital Desk : The postal system across the country has almost collapsed these days. The reason for this is the IT 2.0 roll out. In this context, ABP correspondent had a special conversation with Senior Postmaster (SPM) Dharamveer Singh about the IT 2.0 roll out at Knowledge Park S.O. Post Office located in Alpha-One C Market, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Dharamveer Singh told that IT 2.0 has started from August 2, but this system has not been fully operational even till August 7.
It is worth noting that just before an important festival like Raksha Bandhan, this technical change is affecting the post office services like speed post, registry and other postal services. The cheapest and most reliable medium for the general public to send Rakhi is the post office, where Rakhi can be sent at eight times less charges than courier services.
What did the post office officials say?
Dharamvir Singh said that the installation process of this software is being operated from Mysore, this situation has become especially challenging for North India, where there is a huge crowd in the post office on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. People are facing a lot of problems.
However, he also clarified that after the full implementation of IT 2.0, there will be a big improvement in the efficiency and services of the postal department. Financial transactions, registry, speed post, RPLI, PLI etc. services will be operated more securely and at a faster speed. In the past, problems like server failure, error messages and slow applications have been coming up. At present, all of us employees are quite comfortable. With the process of IT 2.0 roll out, this initiative will increase the attraction of common people towards the post office rapidly.
