News Topical, Digital Desk : BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has reacted sharply to the opposition's move to move a no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi. Speaking to ANI, he said that the opposition knows this motion will achieve nothing, but has taken this step solely to remain in the media spotlight.
Nishikant Dubey stated that since the start of the Parliament session, the opposition has been consistently violating rules and conventions. He alleged that the discussion on an unpublished book was held, which violates both the Speaker's rules and the Constitution. He stated that the opposition is deliberately raising such issues to disrupt Parliament proceedings and draw attention to itself.
Congress party has lost elections around 95 times – Nishikant Dubey
Taking aim at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, the BJP MP said that the party has lost approximately 95 elections since Rahul Gandhi became leader. He claimed that the media is also not taking the Congress seriously, so the party repeatedly raises such issues to remain in the news.
Nishikant Dubey also said that the issue of "unpublished books" was first raised. Now, "book for book" politics is being played. He said that people are now reading books by Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Manmohan Singh. Topics like the partition of the country are also being discussed.
NDA elects Lok Sabha Speaker with majority
Regarding Speaker Om Birla, he clearly stated that there is no question of replacing him, as the NDA elected him as Lok Sabha Speaker based on a majority vote and the NDA has a clear majority in the House. Finally, he took a dig at the Congress, saying that the party is not waiting until 2029. Instead, it is moving towards weakening and fragmenting itself within just one or two years.
