News Topical, Digital Desk : To further improve cleanliness in toilet facilities located on National Highways, NHAI has extended the 'Clean Toilet Picture Challenge' till June 30, 2026.

The objective of expanding this initiative is to ensure continued public participation and effective implementation of the 'Clean Toilet Picture' scheme, as well as timely disbursal of FASTag recharge rewards associated with this initiative.

Photographs will be evaluated on a daily basis.

Under this, photos of clean toilets shared by National Highway users will be evaluated on a daily basis, and eligible claims under the scheme will be resolved in a timely manner. The FASTag recharge reward will be credited to the relevant vehicle registration number within five days of verification, ensuring transparency.

So many people have received the reward

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) launched a unique 'Clean Toilet Picture Challenge' in September 2025 to encourage NH users to report dirty toilets at toll plazas. The initiative received an encouraging response from NH users, with around 350 commuters reporting dirty toilets and around 265 eligible entries being rewarded with FASTag recharges.
