New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the leaders of the US, Japan and Australia at the Quad summit in the US later this month. The influential grouping is likely to discuss global challenges, including the situation in Ukraine.
Where can the summit be held?
The summit is likely to be held in Wilmington, Delaware, the hometown of US President Joe Biden, on September 21. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding the date and venue of the summit.
This year it was India's turn to host the Quad summit. However, the leaders of the group decided to hold the summit at a location convenient to all, given their busy schedules.
Leaders of four countries will participate
Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida are visiting the US to attend the UN summit on September 22 and 23. As per the new plan, India is expected to host the Quad summit next year.
