Kalaburagi: A man in Karnataka's Kalaburagi city bought a scooter from Ola Electric 20 days ago, but he got into an argument with the employees over some problems in the electric vehicle and set the company's showroom on fire.

The accused has been identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Nadeem. Initially, the police suspected that the fire might have been caused by a short circuit. However, investigation revealed that Nadeem had set the showroom on fire on Tuesday. Six new Ola electric vehicles and other material worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes in the incident.
The scooter was breaking down repeatedly
Police investigation revealed that the accused Nadeem had bought a new electric scooter 20 days ago and it had developed some fault, due to which he had to go to the showroom again and again to get it repaired. Nadeem had an argument with the showroom employees. Frustrated with the repeated arguments after his vehicle broke down, Nadeem bought petrol early in the morning and set the showroom on fire.

Police said that seeing smoke coming out of the showroom, the locals informed the owner and the police. By the time the fire brigade and emergency services reached the spot and doused the fire, the showroom had been reduced to ashes.
The secret was revealed after interrogation
The police initially thought the incident to be a possible fire incident, but when a preliminary investigation was done, they solved the case and took Nadeem into custody. When the police questioned Nadeem, he confessed to his crime.
