New Delhi:   There is outrage among doctors in the country over the heinous crime committed against a female doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Doctors have demanded strict punishment against the accused.

Meanwhile, the Ration of Resident Doctors' Association (FORDA) on Monday announced that its indefinite strike will continue in protest against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata.

OPD services closed in many Delhi hospitals today 

Resident doctors are on strike in all major hospitals including AIIMS, Safdarjung, RML, Loknayak, GB Pant in Delhi for the second consecutive day. Due to this, OPD and regular surgeries are affected.

Doctors' strike continues in Mumbai too 

Doctors and medical students at Mumbai's Nair Hospital also protested against this incident. Doctors informed that OPD services will remain closed today.

Services disrupted at RG Kar Medical College

Services are disrupted in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. OPD is completely closed. The protest of junior doctors and students of RG Kar Medical College continues. They have said that they will continue their strike until their demands are met. In this way, today will be the fifth day of strike in the medical college. Services in hospitals are being disrupted due to the doctors' strike.

Let us tell you that this strike was called by the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA). A statement issued by FORDA on Monday night said, "Despite extensive discussions with the team of the Union Health Minister, no concrete solution was found, due to which the strike will continue."
