UP News : In Uttar Pradesh, now disabled and normal children will study together in the same school. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath 's government is rapidly promoting the inclusive education system in the state, the purpose of which is to give equal rights and respect to every child, whether he is physically disabled or normal.

Till now, separate schools were built for Divyang children. But under this new initiative, normal and Divyang students are studying together under the same roof. The government has started integrated special secondary schools in Auraiya, Lucknow, Kannauj, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Ballia and Maharajganj. So far, 325 children have been enrolled in these schools.

Studying with normal children

Here visually impaired, hearing impaired, orthopedically challenged and normal children are studying together. Special teachers, Braille books, hearing aids, wheelchairs, ramps, digital learning tools and other supportive facilities make these schools modern and Divyangjan friendly.

Confidence will increase

The Yogi government believes that just building separate schools will not benefit the disabled. Only when they study, play and communicate with normal children, will their confidence and connection with society increase. This will break the walls of discrimination and strengthen the feeling of equality and inclusiveness in society.

a source of respect and opportunity

The state's Minister of State for Backward Classes and Disabled Empowerment, Narendra Kashyap, said that this scheme is not a way to show sympathy to the disabled but to give them respect and opportunities. The government's goal is that no child should be deprived of education, no matter what the situation is.

The number will increase

The number of these schools is being continuously increased. A new school is in the process of being built in Ghaziabad, while construction work is in full swing in Mirzapur, Etah, Pratapgarh, Varanasi and Bulandshahr.

UP started

Looking at the background, inclusive education has been talked about in the country for years, but such efforts have been seen very rarely on the ground. This is the first time in Uttar Pradesh that this idea has been put into practice. This initiative also matches the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, which talks about providing equal and inclusive education to all children.

The aim is to make children self-reliant

This scheme of Yogi government is a big step towards making Divyang children self-reliant, connecting them with the mainstream of the society and leading a respectable life.
