News Topical, Digital Desk : The SIT has raided the premises of Manish Ranjan, the owner of Shambhu Girls Hostel (the building owner) in connection with the death of the NEET student. Today (Thursday), searches were conducted in Patna and Jehanabad. Manish Ranjan lived with his family on the top floor of Shambhu Hostel. Numerous documents were seized during the search. Family members were also questioned.

He had come to Patna from Jehanabad on the fifth day itself.

Investigations have revealed that he arrived in Patna from Jehanabad on January 5th. The student also arrived in Patna from Jehanabad on the same day. An investigation is underway to determine whether their arrival in Patna on the same day is a coincidence or a conspiracy. Both are from Jehanabad.

Manish Ranjan is lodged in Beur Jail in Patna.

It should be noted that on January 6th, the student was found unconscious in her room at Shambhu Hostel. She died in the hospital on January 11th while undergoing treatment. Following the post-mortem report from PMCH, Manish Ranjan was arrested on January 14th and sent to Beur Jail in Patna. He remains in jail. His DNA sample was taken two days ago. His son's DNA sample has also been taken.

Police is preparing to take him on remand

The investigation into this entire matter is ongoing, and the police are preparing to take Manish Ranjan on remand for questioning. The student's family has been questioning him from the beginning: why was he arrested and sent directly to jail? Why wasn't he being interrogated after being remanded?
