News Topical, Digital Desk : A Pakistani man was arrested last night in Gurdaspur, Punjab while trying to cross the international border illegally. The suspect is 24 years old and has been arrested by Punjab Police. The intruder has been identified as Hussain. He was carrying a Pakistani national identity card. Police recovered Pakistani currency worth Rs 40 from Hussain. He was wandering near the international border while illegally entering India. Police have not found any terrorist link in the interrogation so far.

The suspect was hiding in the bushes

On 03 May 2025 at about 11.10 pm, CT Sandip Ghosh, while on duty at Hit Point No. 01 in PTZ Control Room in the AOR of BOP Sahapur Forward (a flanking BOP of Dariya Mansoor), noticed suspicious movement near Falku Nalla, ahead of the BS fence and about 250 meters inside Indian territory, in the boundary line of BP No. 63/M. An unidentified person, later identified as a Pakistani national, was hiding in the bushes.

Ct Ghosh immediately alerted the Corps Commander who immediately reached the spot with QRT and full team. The area was cordoned off and the suspect was successfully apprehended by the troops of BOP Darya Mansoor between BS fence and IB at about 2345 hrs. The apprehended individual was brought to BOP Darya Mansoor for preliminary interrogation at about 23.50 hrs on 03 May 2025.
