The incident reportedly occurred in Shiv Chowk, the city's busiest area, where two groups clashed on Wednesday night over the placement of a stall on Bhagat Singh Road.

Markets have begun to be decorated for Diwali, and this has led to a rush to set up stalls everywhere. During this time, two groups clashed, leading to a fierce scuffle in the market. The chaos was so intense that shopkeepers and customers alike panicked.

Police reached the scene of the incident

Upon receiving information about a fight between shopkeepers, Kotwali Nagar police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. A passerby recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone and shared it virally on social media. Police detained some people at the scene, and those injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Police are taking action by detaining some people

Giving details of the entire incident, CO City Siddharth K. Mishra said, "Late on the night of October 15th, a report was received of a dispute regarding the placement of handcarts on Bhagat Singh Road. Police immediately arrived at the scene and restored peace. Preventive action was also taken by detaining some people."

Police recovered illegal explosives in Basti

Meanwhile, in Basti, police raided illegal firecracker locations in various police station areas before Diwali. During the raid, police seized 1000 kg of explosives. This police action has created panic among illegal firecracker dealers.
