News Topical, Digital Desk : Supreme Court On Vijay Shah: The Supreme Court has once again taken a tough stand on the objectionable and derogatory statement made by Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah against Indian Army Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The apex court has made a strong remark while rejecting Kunwar Vijay Shah's apology.

The Supreme Court said in its comment, "Sometimes an apology is made to save oneself and sometimes it is like crocodile tears. You have been completely exposed before the people. You are a public figure, you should think before speaking."

Apology rejected - Supreme Court
Supreme Court rejected Vijay Shah's apology on his petition. The court ordered that the case will be investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which will include three senior IPS officers, one of whom will be a woman, and these officers will be from outside Madhya Pradesh.

Congress attacked
On this issue, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Jitu Patwari has taken a tough stand and demanded immediate action from the BJP and its government. He said, "Colonel Sofia Qureshi is the daughter of this country, the pride of the Indian Army and through Operation Sindoor, she has raised the flag of India on the world stage. In such a situation, the derogatory remarks based on her character and religion by a minister of the Madhya Pradesh government are not only an attack on her personal dignity, but it is an insult to the Indian Army, the unity of the country, and constitutional values."

Supreme Court's decision is an example - Patwari
Jitu Patwari said, "This decision of the Supreme Court is an example for the country. It proves that no matter how big a leader someone is, the law and the constitution are supreme."

Will remove him from Cabinet after SC's order- Patwari
Jitu Patwari also said, "When it comes to nationalism and respect for the army, BJP makes big claims. But when their own minister insults a brave woman of the Indian army, their silence exposes the hollowness of their nationalism. Will BJP keep this foul-mouthed leader in the Cabinet until the Supreme Court gives an order for it? This question is in the mind of every citizen today."

'Congress's aggressive stance'
Madhya Pradesh Congress has adopted an aggressive stance in this matter. Jitu Patwari himself reached Bhopal police station and lodged a complaint against Vijay Shah. He announced a movement on this issue in the entire state and said, "We will not sit quiet until Vijay Shah is removed from the cabinet and strict legal action is taken against him."
