News Topical, Digital Desk : Even after the arrival of monsoon in the capital Delhi, people are facing problems due to humid heat this time. But when the weather is pleasant, on one hand people get relief from humid heat after the rain, on the other hand, the water accumulated on the roads and underpasses after the rain becomes a big problem for the pedestrians.
The heavy rains since Tuesday (29 July) morning have caused massive waterlogging on the main road as well as the roads and underpasses of the area. After the heavy rains since morning, waterlogging has occurred at many places.
Waterlogging has occurred in the famous Zakhira underpass of the capital Delhi. Forget about walking, even a bike, car or bus truck cannot pass through it. Government civic agencies have been claiming year after year that water will not accumulate in Delhi's roads and underpasses after the rains, but these claims prove to be hollow when waterlogging occurs like this.
The entire responsibility of cleanliness lies with NDMC
The second picture of waterlogging shows you the safest area of Delhi, Lutyens Zone. This is the scene of Ferozeshah Road in New Delhi. Earlier, the main office of Aam Aadmi Party used to be here, now there are offices of many other small parties including MPs and MLAs. You can see in the picture how the road is completely filled with the accumulated rainwater.
If waterlogging on the road reaches 1 foot to 1.5 feet, then all vehicles passing through this waterlogged area stop. NDMC is completely responsible for cleaning the roads, sewers and drains of this area.
I am facing a lot of trouble in reaching the office.
Today is the second day of the week for working people. Like every day, thousands of people including Ramesh Arora left their homes to go to the office with the belief that the current 4-engine government had claimed during the elections and after coming to power that this time there will be no waterlogging on the roads after the rain, but everyone was disappointed.
Waterlogging was seen everywhere due to rain. People are facing a lot of trouble in reaching their offices due to the waterlogging after the rain. Where it used to take 10-30 minutes to reach the office, today it is taking 1.5 to 3 hours.
To provide relief from waterlogging, the present government and its civic agencies are seen providing temporary relief to the people by pumping water from the waterlogging in the roads and underpasses after the rains, which seems to be proving insufficient for the people. Will any government of any party coming to power in Delhi not be able to provide permanent relief from this problem? This is the question of the public.
