News Topical, Digital Desk : Excessive use of mobile phones is now taking a toll on people's sleep. Problems like insomnia, stress and mental fatigue are increasing rapidly due to the habit of spending time on the screen till late night. Patients affected by this are reaching AYUSH University for treatment. Their problems are being solved by Shirodhara method in the Panchkarma department.

Panchkarma treatment is done in the OPD of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University. Here the number of patients suffering from insomnia, headache and other problems used to be 10-12 in a month. Now it has increased to two to three every day. After medical examination, such patients are being treated by Shirodhara method. According to doctors, this problem is being seen more in the youth and working class.

Ayurvedic physician Dr. Laxmi Agnihotri explains that the blue light emitted from mobile screens affects the hormones that regulate sleep in the body. Using mobile phones late into the night keeps the brain active, making it difficult to fall asleep and gradually leading to a serious insomnia.

Shirodhara is an ancient Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatment method in which medicated oil is poured onto the forehead. This process calms the brain's nerves and balances the nervous system. Practitioners say this method has proven to be extremely effective in inducing natural sleep, reducing mental stress, and relieving headaches.

Patients who regularly receive Shirodhara treatments have improved sleep quality, as well as relief from problems such as migraines, high blood pressure, hair loss, skin disorders, and mental stress.

Doctors say that treatments like Shirodhara should only be performed under the supervision of a trained specialist. Adequate rest and a balanced diet are essential after the treatment to reap its full benefits.
