Mithun Sankranti Puja Method (Mithun Sankranti 2025 Puja Rituals)
- On the day of Sankranti, take a bath in a holy river or at home by mixing Ganga water in the water.
- Wear clean clothes after bathing.
- Take water in a copper vessel and add some red sandalwood, red flowers and whole rice grains to it and offer water to Lord Surya.
- While offering Arghya, chant the mantra 'Om Ghrini Suryay Namah' 108 times.
- After this, install the idol of Sun God.
- Light incense sticks and lamps.
- Recite Surya Chalisa and recite Aditya Hridya Stotra.
- Finally conclude the puja with Aarti .
- Respect your father.
- After the puja, donate jaggery, wheat, red lentils, copper utensils or red clothes.
- Consuming Khichdi or Sattu on this day is also considered auspicious.
- Feed the brahmins and the poor.
- Chanting the Gayatri Mantra on this day is also considered very auspicious.

According to the Hindu calendar , Abhijeet will be from 11:54 am to 12:50 pm. Amrit Kaal will be from 02:19 pm to 03:58 pm. Punyakaal will be from 06:53 am to 02:19 pm. Mahapunyakaal will be from 06:53 am to 09:12 am.
