News Topical, Digital Desk : A Dalit student associated with the "Youth Against Mafia" organization, which put up posters against the Samajwadi Party in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, has received death threats. The student has accused an SP worker of attempting to kill him. This has sparked a political battle in the state, with the SP and YM exchanging accusations.
This Dalit student, associated with Youth Against Mafia, is a student at Lucknow University. The student alleged that an unknown person called him, verbally abusing him, and threatened to kill him. The accused threatened him for opposing the Samajwadi Party and comparing Akhilesh Yadav's government to the Lyari Raj.
Police accused of not registering FIR
Following this threat, the YAM student organization filed a complaint with the Hasanganj police station in Lucknow, but it went unheard. It is alleged that the Hasanganj police were negligent in their response to the student's complaint and failed to register an FIR. The student also accused SP worker SK Singh of using casteist slurs.
Following this threat, the victim student targeted the Samajwadi Party and said that he now understands the meaning of the D in the SP's PDA. The D in PDA stands for "threat." Following this, both the SP and YAM organizations have come face to face. The victim student has opened a front against the SP, saying, "We will not be intimidated, we will stand firm."
SP and YAM came face to face
Following this threat, questions have been raised about the safety of the Dalit student. The Youth Against Mafia organization has demanded police action regarding the threat. The organization has also appealed to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take cognizance of the entire matter. The organization stated that it has full faith in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Strict action will be taken in this matter.
It should be noted that last Monday, the Youth Against Mafia organization put up posters against the Samajwadi Party (SP) in several districts of the state, including Lucknow. These hoardings compared the SP government to the "Lyari Raj" from the film "Dhurandhar" and described Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as a "Dhurandhar CM." This angered SP workers. The SP tore down these posters.
