Meerut: Showed daughter for Nikah, then married 45 year old widowed mother, young man reached police station:

Meerut News: A news is making headlines in Meerut. The matter is such that the young man was shown a daughter for marriage and then he was married to the widowed mother of that daughter. When the young man came to know that he was forcibly married to the widowed woman, he approached the police. The police is investigating the matter and was also shocked to hear that instead of the daughter, he was married to her mother.

The case is from Mumtaz Nagar of Brahmpuri police station area of Meerut. Azim, who lives here, works as a labourer. Azim alleges that his sister-in-law Shaida had talked about getting him married to her widowed sister Tahira's daughter Mantasha. They were also made to meet each other. Azim's marriage was solemnized in Fazalpur on March 31 and he was also made to sign the Nikah Nama.

After the marriage, when Azim saw his wife, he came to know that the girl Mantasha with whom he had decided to marry him was not the girl but her mother Tahira. Seeing this, Azim was shocked. Azim says that his brother and sister-in-law cheated him.

The woman Tahira with whom Azim was married is about 45 years old, while Azim is 24 years old. Azim is upset about being married to a woman twice his age. He says that his marriage was fixed with Mantasha, the daughter of the woman with whom he was married, but he has been cheated.

He also alleges that he is being pressured to live with her. Azim first complained about this to the Brahmpuri police station, but when no solution was found, he again appealed to the SSP for justice.

Tahira, the woman who married Azim, is adamant on staying with him, while Azim says that he does not want to stay with her because he was deceived into marrying her. He was deceived into marrying his mother by pretending to be her daughter.

Azim alleges that he is being pressured to live with the woman and the woman is adamant on forcibly living with him. Azim has also filed a complaint against his brother Nadeem and sister-in-law Shaida. He alleges that he is also being threatened.

The matter of marrying a mother by showing her daughter is very serious. On the complaint letter of Azim, the police has started investigating the matter. SP City Meerut Ayush Vikram Singh says that Azim's complaint letter and some documents have come, which are being investigated, both the parties are being called and further action will be taken only after talks.
