Controversial statement was given on the government

Apart from this, Manikrao Kokate also made a controversial statement on Tuesday (22 July). While trying to clarify his earlier comment on farmers, he called the government a 'beggar', after which the opposition surrounded him fiercely.

Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal said, "If the minister himself says that 'the government is a beggar', then it is the height of insensitivity." He also asked whether Fadnavis did not have the courage to remove Kokate from the cabinet for his insensitive remarks.
