News Topical, Digital Desk : In Ludhiana, police engaged in an encounter with gangsters from the Rohit Godara gang. Both gangsters were seriously injured and have been taken to the hospital. They were involved in the recent firing at a shop in Ludhiana. The encounter took place in the Haibowal area of ​​Ludhiana. After the situation was brought under control, police recovered two illegal weapons and several rounds of ammunition from the accused. Police also apprehended a third gang member, who was not injured. The gangsters injured in the encounter have criminal histories, facing charges of attempted murder and other serious crimes.

The miscreants have a criminal history

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma told the media at the scene of the incident that a few days ago, three men opened fire on a closed shutter in the Haibowal area. A video of the incident was also made, which went viral. They are associated with the Godara gang. Godara is a resident of Rajasthan and is currently based abroad. 

The police had received information

The Police Commissioner stated that today we received information about them. We learned their possible routes. Those routes were blocked. A checkpoint in-charge deployed his vehicle behind them. They were pursued for two to three kilometers. Swapan Sharma stated that the two criminals who were shot are in critical condition. They are estimated to be up to 25 years old. All are residents of Ludhiana. 

Meanwhile, Delhi Police arrested a member of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang from Loni, Uttar Pradesh. He was wanted in several criminal cases and had a reward of ₹1 lakh announced on his head. The accused, Vikas alias Vicky, is a resident of Mahendragarh district in Haryana and was wanted in an Arms Act case registered at the Chanakyapuri police station. Police said Vikas was an active member of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang and played a key logistical role for the gang.
