Follow this diet on the first day

Start the first day of your post-Diwali or festive season weight loss journey with hydration and green vegetables. Follow the following diet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

  • Breakfast: Spinach-banana and chia smoothie
  • Lunch: You can eat quinoa chickpea salad for lunch.
  • Evening Snack: For mild evening hunger, drink mint-cucumber water and roasted makhana.
  • Dinner: Moong dal soup with steamed vegetables

Diet for the second day

On the second day of your weight loss journey, you can make some changes to your diet and include the following foods in your meal:  

  • Breakfast: Oats cheela with buttermilk and almonds
  • Lunch: Brown rice and sambar with salad
  • Evening snack: Green tea , fruits and seeds
  • Dinner: Pumpkin soup with mushrooms

Diet for the third day 

For the third day's meal, you can include the following foods in your diet. 

  • Breakfast: Quinoa Upma with Apple
  • Lunch: Khichdi with boiled vegetables for lunch
  • Evening Snack: Pomegranate and black gram chaat can be had as evening snacks.
  • Dinner: For dinner, you can have grilled paneer and mixed vegetables.

Diet for the fourth day

On the third day of your weight loss journey, you can include seeds, green vegetables, and grains in your diet. The diet plan for the fourth day will be as follows:

  • Breakfast: Smoothie made with spinach, mint, amla and chia seeds 
  • Lunch: Quinoa with amaranth or amaranth curry and yogurt
  • Evening snack: Amla and millet mixture
  • Dinner: Egg dosa with tomato chutney

Diet for Day 5

For weight loss, you can follow the diet plan given below for five days and following this five-day diet plan continuously will help a lot in reducing the weight gained after Diwali. 

  • Breakfast: Moong dal cheela with mint chutney
  • Lunch: Jowar roti with fenugreek vegetable and chickpea chutney
  • Breakfast: Roasted chickpeas and lemon tea
  • Dinner: Sabudana Upma with soya chunks and vegetables
