News Topical, Digital Desk : After KGF 2, Yash is once again gearing up to make a splash on the big screen. His pan-India release, Toxic, is among the most anticipated films of 2026, which will compete with Dhurandhar 2 at the box office.

This period gangster drama is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film stars Kiara Advani , Nayanthara, Akshay Oberoi, and Huma Qureshi, among others. However, one actor has now revealed the reason for leaving the film.

'Kantara' actor was ill-treated on the sets of Toxic

Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who played Raj Kulasekhar in Rishabh Shetty's "Kantara Chapter 1," was also slated to be a part of Yash's "Toxic," but he exited the gangster drama before filming even began. Speaking to Screen Spotlight, he cited this as the reason for leaving Yash's project.

Gulshan Devaiah said, “I was offered Toxic a long time before Kantara. I had a long chat with director Geetu Mohandas, who wanted to cast me in the film. We couldn't work together due to various reasons, especially the schedule mismatch. It's a huge film with different parts. I already had some things that were difficult to manage, and secondly, taking on a franchise-level project didn't work out, I couldn't do it.”

What is the story of Yash's Toxic?

According to reports, Yash's film "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups" is set in 1980s Goa, depicting the drug cartels and mafia empires of that era. It depicts how a betrayal turns into a vengeance. Nayanthara plays Ganga in the film, while Kiara Advani plays Nadia, Tara Sutaria plays Rebecca, and Huma Qureshi will be seen in the role of Elizabeth.

However, the makers are still keeping Yash's character in Toxic under wraps. Yash's film, released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada, will clash with "Dhurandhar 2" at the box office on March 19th.
