News Topical, Digital Desk : The WIPO Advisory Board of Judges (2025-2027) comprises 10 eminent judges from various countries, including Justice Pratibha M. Singh of the Delhi High Court. The Advisory Board will be headed by Justice Pratibha M. Singh.

Who is Justice Pratibha M. Singh? 

Justice Pratibha M. Singh was elevated as a permanent judge of the Delhi High Court in 2017. She was also the President and Presiding Judge of the First Intellectual Property Division of the Delhi High Court for the 2021-22 session. Justice Singh joined the Bar in 1991 and regularly appears before the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court, the Intellectual Property Appellate Board, and the Indian Patent Office. 

Her advisory work included streamlining copyright offices and patent examinations and advising parliamentary committees on legal amendments related to intellectual property. She currently serves as co-chair of the Regulatory Working Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Health, formed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Justice Singh authored India's first book on patent law, titled "Pratibha M. Singh on Patent Law." She has received numerous honors, including Managing IP's Asia Women in Business Law Award. She was selected among the 50 Most Influential People in IP for 2021 and 2022.

Justice Pratibha M. Singh, after receiving her LLB degree from the University Law College, Bangalore, received her LLM degree from the University of Cambridge. The Pratibha M. Singh Scholarship for LLM students was instituted here in 2013.
