On Diwali, there is a special tradition of worshipping Lakshmi and Ganesha during the auspicious time. This brings auspiciousness and good fortune to the devotee. Therefore, Lakshmi and Ganesha should be worshipped with full rituals on Diwali.

Puja Method (Lakshmi-Ganesh Puja Method)
In the evening, clean the place of worship, sprinkle Ganga water, and lay a platform. Then, spread a clean, red cloth on the platform and install the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha. Tie a sacred thread around a pitcher and place a mango leaf on top. Place betel nut, durva (sunflower), unbroken rice grains, and a coin in the pot. Then, wrap a coconut in a cloth and place it on the pot.
Now bathe Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha with Ganga water . Light a ghee lamp and offer clothes, lotus flowers, rose flowers, perfume, and other puja materials. Apply tilak and Akshat to Ganesha and Lakshmi. Offer saffron pudding to Goddess Lakshmi and laddus and sweets to Ganesha. After this, perform aarti for Ganesha and Lakshmi with your family and distribute the prasad to everyone.

Om Shri Hreem Shri Mahalakshmayai Namah.
6. Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra –
Om Shri Mahalakshmyai cha Vidmahe Vishnu's wife cha Dhimahi,
Tanno Lakshmi Prachodayat Om.
