News Topical, Digital Desk : In today's busy lives and changing lifestyles, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart-related diseases are becoming common. Every second person suffers from one disease or another. Obesity and diabetes, in particular, have now become epidemics. These diseases not only weaken the body but also increase the risk of life-threatening conditions like heart attack and stroke. In such a situation, if you were told that just one injection a week could control weight, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart attack, and even brain stroke, it would be difficult to believe.
A recent study conducted at the LPS Cardiology Institute in Lucknow revealed a surprising and significant finding. It turns out that just one dose can control everything from weight gain to diabetes. So let's find out what this new research reveals.
What did the research reveal?
A doctor and his team at the Cardiology Department of the LPS Cardiology Institute conducted research on incretin hormones. The study included 55 patients aged 35 to 65, all with a BMI (body mass index) greater than 27, meaning they were overweight or obese. All of these patients were given a special artificial hormone injection, which, like insulin, is injected into the abdomen and is required only once a week.
How does this injection work?
This injection is made from artificial incretin hormones, which are also produced naturally in the body but are depleted in a very short time. This hormone becomes active after eating and increases insulin release, which helps control blood sugar. It also slows down the digestion process, making the stomach feel fuller for longer. After using this injection for some time, patients experienced significant changes: weight loss of up to 25 percent, a 20 percent reduction in the risk of high blood pressure, a 40 percent reduction in the risk of diabetes, and a 55 percent reduction in the risk of heart attack and stroke. These results clearly demonstrate that this is not just an injection for weight control or sugar control, but also protects the entire heart and neurological system.
This injection is available in the market, but its price is currently quite high, costing around ₹17,000 per injection. However, experts believe that as its production and use increase, its price will decrease and it will become accessible to the general public.
