News Topical, Digital Desk : The Congress party has once again attacked the deaths caused by contaminated water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. State Congress President Jitu Patwari has directly labeled these deaths as murder and demanded that a case be registered. Meanwhile, the Youth Congress has protested the Indore incident. Speaking to the media, State Congress President Patwari said that the government's statements are an attempt to cover up the entire incident.
Patwari said that 15 people have died after drinking toxic water. If anyone is to blame, the arrogance of power and corruption are the most lethal weapons behind these murders. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has stated that there is a lack of coordination between officials and the mayor, and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also stated that there is a shortage of officials. The mayor has also accused officials of not listening to him.
Demand for Vijayvargiya's resignation and FIR
Jitu Patwari alleges that the BJP is trying to hide its corruption by using officials. Officials are also complicit in the corruption, and BJP leaders are targeting officials, concealing their own sins. The Congress state president has demanded the resignation of Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, and an FIR should be filed against the mayor. The officials involved should also be charged with culpable homicide.
Jitu Patwari also raised questions about Indore's needs and development expenditures. He stated that development work in the area is not commensurate with the amount of taxes Indore pays. Meanwhile, the Bhopal Youth Congress unit staged a unique protest against the Indore incident. Youth Congress workers sat on a boat in the dirty water of a small pond, poured contaminated water on an effigy of Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, and then submerged the effigy in the same water to express their protest.
