News Topical, Digital Desk : A special court in Bengaluru on Friday convicted Janata Dal (Secular) leader and former MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case. This was the first rape case registered against him at Holenarasipura Rural Police Station in Hassan district. This case against Prajwal Revanna was in the news a lot. Now the sentence in this case is to be announced on Saturday. The case is being heard in the Bengaluru Special Court.
The hearing of the case was completed on July 18
The special MP/MLA court in Bengaluru had completed the hearing of the rape case on July 18. It had reserved its verdict. The sentence is now to be announced on Saturday (August 2).
More than 2000 pornographic video clips were revealed
Revanna is the prime accused in four criminal cases registered last year when over 2,000 pornographic video clips, allegedly depicting sexual abuse of several women, went viral on social media.
The complaint was first lodged in April 2024
The first complaint against Revanna was filed in April 2024 by a woman who worked as a domestic help at his family's farmhouse. She had accused Revanna of repeatedly raping her since 2021 and threatening to release videos of the abuse if she told anyone about the incident.
Revanna is the grandson of former PM
Let us tell you that former MP Prajwal Revanna, who is a leader of Janata Dal (Secular) and former MP from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency of Karnataka. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and son of former Karnataka minister HD Revanna.
